The primary objective of SIM-WEBEDI is to enable Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) between OEMs and their suppliers. Currently, small and medium-sized OEMs exchange data with their suppliers via fax, telephone, email, and similar communication methods. Our goal is to migrate this communication to a web-based environment in order to enhance the services we provide and to offer our business partners improved data security, faster communication, and cost efficiency. The overarching objective is to strengthen competitive advantage by increasing the efficiency of transforming data into actionable information.

The OEM and its suppliers are defined within the system. User accounts, access levels, and authorized pages are configured accordingly. Following a mutual agreement with the OEM, order information is transmitted to the SIM-WEBEDI server in a specified format via FTP. The received file is then transferred into a database environment and presented to suppliers in a clear and user-friendly format. At the same time, suppliers may generate dispatch advice messages to the OEM through SIM-WEBEDI. The OEM can view these messages either directly within SIM-WEBEDI or within its own system in a dedicated text format.
