The primary objective of the SIM - WEBEDI system is to enable Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) between OEMs and their suppliers. Currently, many small and medium-sized manufacturers exchange business data with their suppliers through conventional communication methods such as fax, telephone, and email. Our objective is to migrate these communication processes to a web-based platform, thereby enhancing the services we provide and delivering greater data security, faster communication, and reduced operational costs for our business partners. The overarching goal is to strengthen competitiveness by improving the efficiency of transforming data into actionable information, enabling more effective decision-making and streamlined business processes.

The OEM and its suppliers are registered within the system. User accounts, user authorization levels, and accessible system pages are configured according to the defined roles and responsibilities. Following a mutual agreement with the OEM, purchase order data is transmitted to the SIM-WEBEDI server via FTP in a predefined file format. The received data is then processed and imported into the database, where it is presented to suppliers in a clear and user-friendly format. In addition, suppliers can prepare and transmit delivery note (dispatch advice) messages to the OEM through the SIM-WEBEDI platform. These messages can be viewed either directly within SIM-WEBEDI or imported into the OEM's internal system using a predefined text file format.
